Play Time

Recently I have been putting Ayden down on the floor for some play time. He has several toys that he likes to play with. His favorites though are the ones that make noise, of course. But hey, whatever keeps my baby happy I am more than okay with.

He's doing a great job of sitting up by himself. He has even started catching himself if he leans over too far. He smiles a lot and he is laughing more. His personality is really starting to shine. He definitely knows what he likes and what he doesn't like.

He has two teeth now, and I think he is working on more as we speak. I can always tell when he is teething by when he has a fever and when he sleeps longer than his normal routine.

We've been experimenting with different baby foods. We've tried peas, a veggie mixture, bananas and carrots. This afternoon I bought him some apples and some pears to try. We had the apples this afternoon and he loved them. He usually only eats about half a can, but this time he ate the whole thing. He made some pretty funny faces while eating them as well. I think sometimes it was a little too tart for him. We got a cute video of him eating, I'll have to post that a little later.

He's definitely growing fast! It's crazy to think that in no time my little man will be walking.

My How You've Changed!

With Ayden recently turning 6 months old, I thought I would reflect on how much he has grown and how much he has changed!

Playing Catch Up

So I have been majorly slacking in the blog world. I guess I have been staying pretty busy! Hopefully I can remember some of the important things that has happened within the past few weeks.

New Years Eve Michael and I were able to enjoy a nice date. My parents were very gracious a babysat for us. It also marked our one year from when we got engaged. After our date night, we came home, put the munchkin to bed and had a movie night. The time alone with Michael was greatly needed and the mellow evening was just as appreciated.

Ayden is continuing to grow fast. His first front tooth finally broke through. Unfortunately, he is also working on his two back teeth. We recently had to buy some numbing gel because the liquid medicine was no longer working as well for him.

He is actively playing and loves to stand up. For Christmas he got a little play set where he can sit and stand and he absolutely loves it. He also got a jumper. He hasn't quite got the jumping down, but he enjoys being able to stand up on his own and "walk" around. It's fun to watch him process some of the new things he is doing and learning.

He is sitting up all by himself, and is able to catch himself when he leans too far. He learned how to sit up fairly quickly. Now, it seems like that's all he wants to do. He's not a big fan of lying down anymore unless it's bedtime, of course.

He also recently started eating baby food. He has been eating carrots and seems to really like it. This weekend I think I am going to buy some different veggies and see how he likes those. He can definitely be one hungry boy!

This weekend Ayden will be turning 6 months old. It's hard to believe he'll be 6 months! I will have to find a good picture of him when he was born and compare it to a current one. He has changed so much. I'm enjoying his growing personality. He's a tender boy...just like his mama and daddy!
